Barnum is a 10yo, 16.2 hand Belgian Draft gelding. He has done it all: lessons, drill team, shows, trails.
Barnum has a gorgeous, floating trot that has won him blue ribbons in walk, trot classes. He is conformationally correct, and gets noted for this is halter class. His canter is smooth and comfortable. Riding Barnum, you forget about how big he is! He is very easy to handle.
He has been ridden in a Brent Graef clinic and received compliments for how sensitive and intelligent he is. He has learned how to soften, leg and seat aids, etc. With a little more work, he will excel and dressage or pleasure, whichever you choose!
Barnum has been used in lessons and drill team with youth riders. He does well, though because of his size would be better suited for an taller person than a child.
Prior to our purchase of him, he was used as a trail horse for beginner riders. But he has not dulled down because of it. He is still nice and sensitive, something rarely found in drafts. This is NOT one horse that you will have to drag around and kick to get going.
He is UTD on dental, farrier (stands great; does not require shoes or stocks), deworming, vaccinations, and Coggins. For more information, call 618-692-4823 or email eb@trianglehfarm.com. Additional photos available at www.dropshots.com/Barnum.
